Dunkin’ Donuts Park is a minor league stadium located in Hartford, CT. It is the home field for the Hartford Yardgoats, a Double-A affiliate for the Colorado Rockies. The stadium costed around 56 million dollars to build and holds up to 6,100 fans. Dunkin’ Park has been voted as a top stadium in the minor leagues. This stadium also has a 360 degree view, meaning there is a concourse you can walk around, surrounding the whole field. All these factors make this stadium special and elite, not even mentioning the fact that its a beautiful field.
In previous years, it has meant a lot for the bears to be able to play at Dunkin’ Donuts Park. Two years ago, A matchup vs Trumbull High School was set to go down. Unluckily for both teams, rain made the field unplayable, leading to the game being moved to Nathan Hale Middle School. Everybody was bummed on that opportunity fading away, but that opportunity came right back for the 2026 season with a date set to play McMahon in a rivalry matchup. It came with a bit of luck being able to get this game. In order to be chosen, you have to apply to play at the field, along with however many high school teams apply as well. It all went well, as the Bears were chosen because of the recent attempts and failed efforts to play at Dunkin’ Park. After the application process was concluded, Coach Mitchell and Athletic Director Doug Marchetti had to sign a contract on which package they wanted for the game. It was either the basic package or the MVP package, which consisted on head shots on the big screen, PA announcers, and a bunch of add ons to make this experience a memorable one for the Bears. “There was no doubt in my mind that we were signing off on the MVP package. We want this to be a very special night for the boys”, said Doug Marchetti.

Playing at Dunkin’ Donuts Park means so much to the program. Being able to play at basically a professional stadium is a dream come true. “Playing at a facility like that is really cool for our guys and while we work really hard as a program to win every game, its also about providing a positive experience” said Head Coach Ryan Mitchell. When Coach Mitchell made the announcement, everybody was stoked and immediately marked the date on the calendar.
Concluding everything, this special opportuinty will not be taken for granted by this program. Everyone is beyond excited to play on the big stage against a rival in McMahon. The moments and memories will be cherished forever. Now its just stacking days until the big game.
