Mr. Migs is a security guard at Norwalk High School who has been with the school for the last 8 years and has been helping out the community of Norwalk and has been living in CT since the day he was born. He’s always kept his loyalty to CT because of how much he loved CT sports. He loved it so much. His goal was to get every single athlete who has played professional sports to get their autograph, and so far he’s met a ton of famous athletes in the last few years. It’s already really hard to play professional sports with them having a 2% of making it into the big leagues, but Mr. Migs didn’t let that stop him from reaching his goal of meeting every CT athlete that made it to the pros.
His love for sports started off with watching his high school (Wilbur Cross High) and he would always watch their basketball games since he was eight and the amount of energy and excitement they brought to the game started off his love with sports. Before becoming a security guard at Norwalk High he was working in a prison system in CT and he would sometimes go to some High Schools and he ended up meeting a professional NFL player Tom Rychlech who grew up in New Britain and would go on to play for the Buffalo Bills.
After getting his first ever autograph from a professional player he wondered the amount of people in CT that would go on and play for the pros. While he was working he would go and try to meet more professional athletes and little did he know he would end up having an entire basement filled with every CT athletes he’s met. His favorite athlete he’s ever met was John Williamson, a 2x NBA champion where he brought the New Jersey Nets (Before they moved to Brooklyn) two championships, which earned him to get his no. 23 retired by the Nets. He also got to meet a World Series champion, Spec Shae and he got to see pictures of Yankee legends Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. His doctor is even a former Miami Dolphins player, Rich Diana, the all time leading rusher for Yale and got to play against Mr. Migs growing up when he played baseball.
Mr. Migs to this day still tries and collects every CT athlete that went pro autograph and adds it to his collection to show his love for CT sports. Here are all of his signed autographs he has in his collection that is looking to change very soon!
