West Rocks soccer field was filled with emotions for the Girls Soccer senior night. Families filled the stands as they watched their daughters step on the field. The seniors, a group of friends, stood together, as they wore their jerseys one last time. The girls worked countless amount of hours to achieve this moment.
Before the game, underclassmen set up posters they created for the seniors and the professional banners. Each girl was celebrated in a heartfelt ceremony, receiving flowers and admiration of those who supported them. Cheers from their teammates and the crowd showing the pride and loved shared within the community. It’s a moment of recognition, acknowledging not just the players athletic achievements, but their growth as individuals through their high school journey.
Girls Soccer took on Bridgeport Central on October 16th. The seniors displayed their abilities and teamwork as they played with intensity from the start. The girls fought hard and gave it their all, and they succeeded in winning. They put in 9 goals and only allowed 1 to enter the goal.
