Coach Eason may be only in his second year at Norwalk High School, but his influence on the boys varsity basketball team is already being felt. Despite a 3–9 record, players say the program is heading in the right direction because of the standards and expectations he has put in place.

Senior Dylan Izzi said the biggest change has been the team’s mindset. “Coach Eason’s only been here two years, but he’s already changing how we think and how we work,” Izzi said.

That competitive mindset has helped keep the team motivated through a tough season. Senior Ameir Spencer explained that Coach Eason emphasizes growth over short-term results. “Our record doesn’t tell the full story,” Spencer said. “Coach Eason is building something bigger than wins right now. He’s holding us accountable and setting standards that are going to pay off.”

As the season continues, the Norwalk High basketball team remains focused on improvement. With Coach Eason leading the program and players committed to his vision, the foundation is being laid for future success, regardless of the current record.
