How often do you see a student walking around with a Starbucks drink in their hand? Especially during the fall and holiday season. Starbucks is an essential part of a high schooler’s life.

Selling around 4 million drinks per day, Starbucks has continuously sold their way into our hearts since 1971. In 1984, Starbucks decided to incorporate holiday cheer into their menu. Starbucks has turned seasonal drinks into a yearly tradition that marks the start of the holidays for millions of people. It started with their Christmas blend coffee, the popular Peppermint Mocha was introduced later in 2002, but since then, the holiday menu has expanded to lattes, chais, refreshers, and tasty treats. All wrapped in a holiday themed cup. Along with its festive red cups, these drinks have become symbols of comfort and celebration, bringing us into the holiday season. In 2021, Starbucks introduced the popular Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte. Which has become a staple in the Christmas menu today.
The Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte at Starbucks is a sweet, cozy holiday drink that tastes like a warm sugar cookie in a cup. It can be made hot, iced, or blended. It’s made with sugar cookie flavored syrup, blonde espresso, and creamy almond milk, then topped with festive red and green sprinkles. The drink is light, smooth, and not too heavy, making it a nice choice for people who want a cheerful holiday flavor without a super rich latte.
I decided to give this popular drink a test. I normally stick to my Strawberry Acai refresher but I decided to see if the Sugar Cookie Latte was worth the hype. After getting and reviewing the drink, I would agree. I would also preference that I am not a huge coffee lover, so if I was to order the drink again I would definitely get it decaf. The drink is served with sugar cookie cold foam and red and green sprinkles which I think really gave it that holiday vibe. The taste was surprisingly very similar to a sugar cookie, and the coffee tastes super sweet. If you are someone who wants a sweet drink that reminds you of those homemade cookies during the holiday season this might just be the drink for you.
Holiday drinks like this one help bring people into the holiday season by creating warm, familiar moments that remind them of festive traditions. Flavors like peppermint, gingerbread, and sugar cookie spark memories of baking and celebrations. The cozy cups, seasonal decorations, and cheerful the designs make even a normal day feel more special and festive. These drinks from Starbucks help people feel connected and build the excitement of the holidays.
