Niyanna Lee began her cheer experience not as Bear but as a Central High Hilltopper, when she arrived in the (24-25 season) she took the show and had many people’s eyes on her. Niyanna expressed her biggest accomplishment was her learning how to tumble and also her building on her flexibility which is very important when doing cheer. You may be asking “well why is it important” well important isn’t even the word to use ESSENTIAL is better, its essential because it has cheerleaders perform skills with the right technique, precision, and control which can help prevent of any injuries and also enhances your performance in stunts, jumps, and tumbling.
Niyanna is in the senior class of 2026, she is a huge role model to many people on the team not only Varsity but Junior varsity as well.”Niyanna inspired me so much she has taught me to never give up even when i’m tired and for me to keep pushing through the tough challenges that get thrown at me, we also do the same position, side base which makes me so much closer to her.”-Jasani Banton. Everyone knows Niyanna as the type of person to light up the mood at practice with her jokes, dances and her encouraging words. “I look up to Niyanna as role model because she shows good leadership something that not everyone has naturally which makes me view her not only a team mate but also a sister”-Janay Grasty
Before Niyanna became a Bear at Norwalk High School, she was very worried about joining a new team she has advice for people who would like to do Cheerleading. She explained to have your mind clear and set on cheer, it requires a lot of responsibilities and time plus having to face conflicts by being told certain things and being open to learning and maintaining and positive attitude when doing so.
To add on Cheer can take up loads of your time from having to juggle school, doing homework and also trying to have some free time here and there. So whenever Niyanna gets free time from cheer which is one in a Pink moon Niyanna loves to do hair, dosen’t matter if its her hair or someone else it makes her feel at peace and not having to think about cheer. Doing hair has been a passion of hers since she was eleven years old, its always important to continue to do things you have always had a passion for.
