2023 Girls Lacrosse Team

After a 6-11 record last season for the Norwalk Girls Varsity Lacrosse team they are looking to improve that record and make it to states and FCIAC’s.

This year the girls have been working on a lot to get ready for their upcoming season. Since January, they’ve been conditioning every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at Norwalk High. Two weeks before tryouts, the girls have been doing a Tune Up clinic to improve their stick skills and have also been working on their foot work.

We got the chance to talk to Coach Lynette Martinez and ask her what her goals are for this season:

My goals for this season are to improve on our record from last year, qualify for FCIACs and states and make a competitive run

— Coach Martinez

The captains for our 2023 season are Grace L’Archevesque (attacker),  Molly Goldstein (attacker), and Casey Donnelly (defender). Grace has been a four year member of the girls varsity lacrosse team and received All-FCIAC Honorable Mention last season. This is Molly’s second year on the varsity lacrosse team as well. She is a wonderful asset to the program and is always bringing smiles to faces. Casey is also a four year member of the varsity lacrosse team. Casey is also a three sport athlete, she’s apart of the indoor track team, and was captain of both the Girls Soccer and Indoor Track team. The girls have their first game against Ludlow 4/6. They are hoping to qualify for FCIAC and come out on top. Stay tuned for Girls Lacrosse team this year.
