September 25, 2022

Norwalk field hockey is back and of to a 4-3 record with seniors Lizzie Arduino, Amanda Levy, Paulina Morrell, Alyssa Smeriglio, Kaeligh Carillos and captain Rachel Miller leading the way. To get an insight on their expectations and feelings towards the season, we asked Liz Arduino and Paulina Morrell  what their biggest goal is for this season.

Learning how to work together as a team to execute the work we put into practice into our game” “Being able to execute early on offensive corners and getting great shots off as a team” The girls are excited to compete

I am most excited to play against cross town rival, Brien McMahon

— Paulina Morrell

We asked the rest of the Seniors for one fun fact about themselves, Amanda Levy said ” I have had a new hockey stick every season in my Highschool career” Kaleigh Carllios told us about the origin of her jersey number. “this year my Jersey number is 13 and its the jersey number my Dad wore growing up when he played soccer so it has some sentimental value” Captain- Rachel Miller said “My mom was a field hockey goalie and captain at Westhill Highschool and I started playing because she used to play its like history repeating its self.

Our girls are hoping for many more wins this year leading them to qualify for states with their six seniors leading the charge.
