Diving into the Bradley’s life

He+is....Ben+Bradley

Who is Ben Bradley? An athlete, a student, a brother, a son, a friend, and a leader. Junior, Ben Bradley, has been diving since he was 6 years old. At first, this was not a sport that he loved. He started diving in the summer at Shore and Country Club. Then in 8th grade, he joined Whirlwind Diving Club where he started diving competitively. He is now diving for his third year on the Norwalk/McMahon Boys Swim and Dive Team. Whereas he became older, his love for the sport grew. While he dives for his high school team, he still continues to dive for Whirlwind Diving Club.

How did Ben start diving? Ben was inspired to dive by his older brother, Kevin Bradley. His brother started diving for their summer country club, Shore and Country when they were little. Ben states his dad then,

Kind of nudged me into the sport”

— Ben Bradley

.

This is a bond he and his brother share. Kevin dove for the University of Michigan and now dives for Yale University. He has the Norwalk High School record of 6 and 11 dives. His senior year, he won CIAC Championships and FCIAC Championships.

Diving is a very hard sport. But when we asked Ben if he gets nervous before he dives, he states that he only gets nervous for club meets and not for high school meets. Ben has only lost once against Greenwich but has won all the other meets. His hopes for the season are to place top 3 at FCIACS and to do good at State Opens.
