In an exclusive interview, rising baseball talent and Franklin Pierce Commit Antwan Cardona reflects on the roots of his passion, challenges, and the unforgettable experiences that have shaped his journey. Borned and raised in Puerto Rico, the player shared how his love for the sport began in the town of Trujilo Alto with his father.
“I think what first inspired me to start playing baseball was my dad” he said. “The work he was putting in with other players, seeing how fun it was- it inspire me tone like them one day”
Baseball quickly became ,pre than just a game. It became a Vital part of his identity both on and off the field. “Baseball makes me feel complete as a person. It’s one of those things where I need to be around it 24/7 to actually be myself” he explained. “I associate a lot of emotions with playing, but competitiveness is the biggest one”.
But the journey has not been withouts its setback. He opened up about the challenges e’s faced, including dealing with season ending injuries. “These obstacles rally tested my dedication and love for the sport. Overcomin them fueled my passion even Moreland made me appreciate the game’s highs lows.”
Moving to the U.s while young introduced him to new teammates and lifelong friends. “The most memorable moments in my baseball journey have been playing with people I met once I got to the U.s Playing with them has been nothing but fun, especially throughout high school and summer. hose friendships have impacted me in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”
For him the game is more than just winning and losing. it’s been a teaser life lessons-teamwork, perseverance, indiscipline. “Baseball has taught me so much that translates into my relationships and how I approach challenges in life. Plus its created sting friendships that go beyond the Game”
As his journey continues, it’s clear that baseball will remain a key part of who he is-on and off the field.
