NHS Boys Basketball ended their season last year with a record of 4-16 giving them a reason to improve. We got a chance to talk to head coach Garrett Hickey and two returning seniors Jaylen Brown and Dougie Cahill on what they have in store for the team, as the countdown for opening night keeps ticking away.
Coach Hickey was willing to discuss a couple of things the team has been focusing on to improve and also what steps they have been taking in doing so. Seniors, Jaylen and Dougie, explained to us the game they most look forward to and what they believe is their team’s greatest skill.
The boys home opener is against West Haven on December 20th at 4pm here in the NHS gym. Afterwards, they will look to carry momentum into their annual holiday tournament against crosstown rivals. Hope to see you there Bear Country!
