Jaylen Brown. The core of the Norwalk High Boys Basketball team. Jaylen is coming off an All-State performance last season with a season-high 54 points score against Greenwich in an 87-82 double-overtime loss and averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
As the winter season is approaching, we met up with Jaylen Brown to ask him a few questions about the upcoming season. Preparing for an upcoming season can be hard with other sports but boys basketball got it done. Here’s what Captain Jaylen Brown had to say about their preseason training. “Just being around each other daily helped us build the chemistry. We have 6 am workouts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and after-school workouts on Tuesday, Thursday, and fall league on Sunday. So just working out together really helped build up the brotherhood.
We spoke with senior Charlie Bennincaso about Jaylen Brown and how he helps the team. “He passes the ball just as well as he scores it.” Senior Mitch Hjelmar also had an input on how Jaylen Brown keeps positivity up with the team “More than all he is a leader for us on and off the court.”
The Bears start their season on 12/15 at Kolbe Cathedral at 7:00 pm. Go Bears!
