Blast From The Past: More Life by Drake

Onto one of my favorites of the entire album, Blem has a chill vibe that you groove to if you choose. Without any heavy beat drop, this song is very calming. Blem starts to give a different side of Drake as a singer rather than a rapper. 

Another personal favorite, Gyalchester is a great hype song with clever wordplay. This track gives us a taste of current(for the time) Drake. So if you’re looking for something subtle but will also get you hyped for a game, consider Gyalchester. 

One of the top three of the album is KMT, which is an amazing song with an insanely tough beat. This track includes clever wordplay coming from both Drake and the feature Giggs. Their voices blend together to create an overall hype song worth listening to. 

Definitely my least favorite on the album is Portland. The features don’t do the song justice with bland, basic lyrics and a non-distinctive sound. For the time, Portland can be seen as a good song but 5 years later it just doesn’t hold up. 

If you find yourself missing the old Drake, then Lose You is the perfect song for you. The worldplay and soft vibe can make you nostalgic if you’re missing that sappy old Drake. If you can get past the length of the song then you should give it a listen. 

Finishing off with Do Not Disturb, you get a more calm sound rather than finishing with a bang. Drake brings in his old sound and blends it with the new creating a whole different side of him that we see later down the road. Overall it’s a great conclusion to the album making you wonder what Drake is going to release next.
